Buying your own static caravan

Owning a static caravan with us gives you the opportunity to enjoy unlimited holidays whenever the mood takes you. Modern static caravans are fitted with all the luxuries you’d expect in a second home, with gas central heating, double glazing and spacious interiors.
If you choose to join us at Lleithyr Farm, we allow you to choose exactly which caravan best suits your needs. We deal with four suppliers who between them stock every make and model of caravan. There’s something out there to suit all needs.

HOW TO BUY...

We have 75 plots, spread across two sites, Lleithyr Farm and Bron Y Garn. At present we operate a waiting list for vacant plots and notify people on our mailing list whenever a suitable plot becomes vacant. It is almost impossible to put a time limit on how long people will have to wait for a plot, but based on recent examples expect anything from three months to three years. Our advice would be to give us a call from time to time to check on progress.

1: INTRODUCTION TO THE SITE
Although divided only by a fence, Bron Y Garn and Lleithyr are two separate sites, with different characteristics. Both sites are open from the 1st of March through until the first Monday in January each year.

The ground rent is payable at the start of each season and includes VAT and water. Electricity is metered (billed anually) and gas cylinders must be bought through our site shop.

2: VIEW THE PLOT TO SEE IF IT IS SUITABLE
You can either take a trip down and visit the site, or we can describe it to you based on your previous visits to the site. Each plot is roughly the same in size, though restrictions on caravan size may apply to some. Each plot has electricity, water and waste connections and gas is provided through changeable cylinders.

3: VISIT THE CARAVAN DEALERS
We deal with several companies in West Wales who offer a comprehensive choice of caravans. They will discuss your exact needs and show you around a range of caravans. You then place your order with them. They will provide you with the price of the caravan and the delivery cost. After that, your work is done.

4: ARRANGING DELIVERY
The dealers will call us to arrange a convenient delivery slot, and bill us for the caravan. We notify you of the date that the caravan will be ready for you. This is approximately ten days after we receive delivery of the caravan, allowing us enough time to connect the relevant services and perform a detailed safety check.

5: HANDING OVER THE KEYS
After we have installed the van, we will contact you, hand over the keys and allow you take ownership of the caravan. At this stage you’ll be presented with the final invoice and will be required to settle the balance as the keys are handed over. You will also be required to sign a site terms and conditions document.

6: ADDITIONAL WORK
If you want any additional items added to the caravan (decking, patio etc) we would endeavour to complete them before handing over the keys.
